Christopher Andrew-Marc Brown was appointed as General Manager for the Project Management Office at the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ). He is an open-minded, creative thinker who enables thoughtful discussions around solutions. In his role at the DBJ, he is responsible for designing innovative financial solutions and implementing programmes that drive private sector led growth for Micro, Small and Medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). He also manages the Bank’s technical assistance portfolio which focuses on strengthening the MSME ecosystem for improved productivity.
Christopher has worked on Government programmes funded by international development partners such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the European Union and the World Bank in the areas of MSME development and energy sustainability projects.
He also currently serves as the Project Manager for the Boosting Innovation, Growth and Entrepreneurship and Ecosystems (BIGEE) programme, financed by the GOJ and IDB which is geared at developing the financing and supporting technical assistance required in each stage of the business and innovation lifecycle.
With over 8 years experience in the financial sector, policy development, risk management and auditing; his input and guidance has been integral to the strategic and operational mission of the Bank. His forte in project management continues to play a critical role in the Bank’s effort to increase access to financing, investment, and capacity development of entrepreneurs and businesses. His initiatives in the conceptualization of programmes remains key to his role of implementing high impact, legacy grant programme. He has implemented over 100 grant projects impacting the local agricultural, services, manufacturing, tourism, financial and energy sectors. His drive remains paramount to improving businesses financial position and ease of suitable financing.
As Technical Coordinator for Intermediary Relationships under the Boosting Innovation for Growth in Entrepreneurial Ecosystems (BIGEE) Programme, Natalie D’Oyen leads a small team executing programmes to increase the number of high-potential start-ups and spur their growth, improve business incubators and accelerators, set up a technology commercialization programme and establish new start-up investment options, including an Angel Investor SideCar Fund and a VC Fund.
As BIGEE Communication Specialist Pauline brings her years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations and media relations to the fore. She ensures that the multiple products and activities under the programme are actively promoted to the targeted business owners and entrepreneurs of Jamaica. Most importantly her role is helping to make them aware of the assistance available under the project that will help them realise their 'BIGEE Business Dreams'.
She conceptualizes messaging and overall communication, as well as oversees marketing and advertising. This includes traditional and digital media and the planning of events including launches, workshops, training, and webinars.
